Commercial Kitchen Facilities

La Placita’s kitchen facilities are rented from Rising Sun Entrepreneurs.  We do NOT operate or manage the commercial kitchen.  If you would like to reserve time in the kitchen,  please contact Rising Sun Entrepreneurs at 510-698-4178 .  Below is information about their commercial kitchen for your convenience:

RSE’s  certified commercial kitchen is available to caterers, chefs, culinary students, bakers, cake decorators, confectioners, food stylists or other food entrepreneurs who prepare food for public consumption.   The kitchen is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Hourly, Daily and Monthly Rental rates: RSE’s hourly rates start at $18 for members and $35 for non-members.

One time Special Event Use: Kitchen rate for One time use ranges from $35 – $50 depending on your needs.

Rates vary depending on several factors, including:

1. Time of day needed – morning and daytime are more used and therefore more expensive
   Total Hours needed
   Storage and work space required
   Equipment usage

RSE’s commercial kitchen rental includes utilities (gas, electricity and water) plus we can provide you with lots of dry and cold storage space if necessary.
